Description & Function
The IntelliMon™ Remote Management Software is located remotely on a server or laptop computer that is linked wirelessly to the IntelliTran™-equipped vehicles and the IntelliCorr™ intersection modules. In this capacity the IntelliMon™ provides the full spectrum of real-time, system monitoring functions, as well as the capability to remotely configure the IntelliCorr™, IntelliTran™,
and send custom messages to IntelliSigns™.
The IntelliMon™ module is a Microsoft Windows™ application
that has an integrated GIS mapping capability and interfaces with industry standard SQL database systems
using the ODBC protocol. The IntelliMon™ monitoring
function checks each vehicle for its operational status, GPS position, speed, vehicle type, agency, and service status, along with the intersection signal & pedestrian phases during an emergency incident. The IntelliCorr intersection modules are also checked for operational status and periodically, incident data logging
is uploaded into the IntelliMon database.

The IntelliMon™ system is installed in traffic, emergency or dispatch operation centers to manage the IntelliTran™-equipped vehicles from different public safety agencies including fire, police, sheriff, rescue, paramedic, and EMS. Additionally, the IntelliMon™ system can be used to manage IntelliTran™ modules installed in public works vehicles, transit buses, and light rail trains.
Interfacing IntelliMon™ with Emergency dispatch CAD systems provides vehicle authorization tied to each incident and better reporting of incident and emergency response data. Authentication capabilities are provided for agencies within the system and guest authorization for agencies outside the system.
In the top left corner of the graphic above, is the Intersection
List. Each intersection is identified
by a network address, user-assigned
name, status, and time.
On the top right side are two windows
that provide a vehicle list and vehicle configuration parameters for the IntelliTran™-equipped units. The Vehicle List grahically shows the type of units and assigments that are used in the IntelliCON™ environment. The Vehicle Configuration window has parameters that can be assigned to each unit that allows tracking, monitoring, and managing of IntelliTran™-equipped vehicles.
The large window at the bottom is the Intersction Status window. This window provides a real-time display of the status of the eight sets of intersection lights, as well as the IntelliSign™ module and specific details about the preeemption
action.
