The partnership between E-ViEWS and
NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) began in September, 1997 when JPL requested an E-ViEWS interactive display for their media room in Pasadena, CA. The display was appropriately placed right next to the Mars Rover model. This arrangment mirrored the primary goal of NASA/JPL commercialization program: to bring space technology into public and industry applications. Since then, JPL and E-ViEWS have closely worked together to develop leading edge technologies for the emergency responder transportation industry.
E-ViEWS Safety Systems, Inc. is fortunate to have its primary research and development performed by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory through NASA/JPL's Technology Affiliates Program. JPL is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center sponsored by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) that conducts programs in space science and other scientific areas specified by NASA. JPL is also an operating division of the
California Institute of Technology (Caltech), a nonprofit educational institution incorporated in the State of California.
The Company and JPL have designated liaison officers responsible for communication and technical direction of their respective organizations. Additional communication includes regular scientific/technical staff visits to JPL for briefings, conferences, applied research and development issues of broad interest. In providing research and advisory assistance to The Company on NASA technology transfer topics, JPL performs searches of all appropriate databases to determine the best technical approach and specifications required to meet The Company's objectives.
